Negative automatic thoughts and unhelpful core beliefs can hold us back. What NAT or belief do I want to dispute and surrender? Ask yourself the following questions:
What evidence exists for the falseness of this belief?
Does any evidence exist of the truth of this belief?
What are the worst things that could happen to me if I don’t get what I think I must (or do get what I think I mustn't)?
What good things could I make happen if I don’t get what I think I must (or do get what I think I mustn't)?
What might a good friend or some person I respect say about my thoughts and beliefs?
